Our next BENEFIT BREAKFAST Wednesday, October 24, 2012 We open on a day that we are normally closed and offer a limited menu with a suggested donation of $10/pp Our staff generously donates their time and all proceeds are donated.
OUR FUNDRAISING EFFORTS SINCE 2005 HAVE BENFITTED THE DOMINICA ORPHANAGE AND SCHOOL IN LA URENA NEAR SANTO DOMINGO IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC Our funds have gone directly to help feed the children, to help with the dormitory addition, the playground and this year, to help the with the education expenses. There are 85 children who live on site and over 400 students total in the Dominica School.

On Christmas Day of 2005, we successfully delivered 9 huge duffle bags loaded with toys, clothing, school supplies, and toiletries to a resort facility donated by a local couple where 70 of the children from the Dominica Orphanage were gathered. Their teachers and volunteers were there as we had a festive party, shared a feast, played with the children and passed out gifts to each of the very polite, extremely grateful children, ages 4-17. The greatest miracle was the clearance of all the bags through Customs. A local volunteer, working on our behalf, saw that the children received their special gifts, by renting a truck, bringing everything to the Customs warehouse, convincing authorities that the gifts came from Santa and expedited the process which (we found out at the last minute) could have been held up another day. Thanks go out to all who helped to make this incredible journey possible, especially to my sister Sharon, whose spark of an idea allowed this mission of love to come to be! Christmas 2005-
